Last night was opening night in the new Real Salt Lake stadium, Rio Tinto Stadium. I know what you're thinking and yes we all agree, why Rio Tinto? Why not something amazing like "The Thunder Dome" Or "Hell on Earth", I think that would strike more fear in the hearts of visiting opponents. Just a thought.
Anyway, parking was of course a joke, word to the wise - dont get off on 90th South. Once we parked and got into the stadium, it was awesome. The stadium is amazing inside, and the atmosphere was electric (yes, I went there and used an old sports metaphor). People waving towels, streamers flying, high fives being handed out like candy on Halloween.
I'm a big soccer fan and was really happy to see that many people embracing it. Maybe there is hope just yet. Even Jenna went! Woop Woop! That made me really happy that she went for me.

Not sure how you didn't know about my blog but I've been reading yours for a few months now!
