If you are struggling to find the Christmas joy that comes with Christmas-because everything is so retail and money driven, Ty and I found a couple of solutions to fix that this season.
This weekend has really got me and Ty in the Christmas spirit. Today we went and did the Angel Tree. It was so awesome to just imagine this little girl opening all these things she wanted on Christmas morning. They only ask for things they NEED-not what they WANT. It is so awesome to help out these families. If you have the means to do it, I suggest you do it - it's a great feeling.
We also went to ZOO Lights the other night as Ty's surprise to me. I love the zoo. There were actually animals out which was fun. It was all magical and lit up - super pretty. And we got these 3-D glasses that make everything look like little snowmen. If you are in a bad mood, oh man, they put you in such a good one! We were laughing and giggling like little 5-year-olds. (They are well worth the 2 bucks we spent) My family and our friends were captivated by these cheapy little glasses. The best, most priceless thing ever!
Also, if you make wassail-that always gets me in the Christmas spirit.
So Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone!
