So, some of you know I am training for a relay race next month, The Wasatch Back. Its a relay race from Logan to Park City, we have 12 team members, and overall the race is 187 miles long. I got kind of lucky that I only have to run 13 of those.
My first leg is just over 6 miles, see above, and is gonna be the toughest, but not too bad. All I need is my iPod, and these little packets of caffeine enhanced heaven called "Gu" (a flavored pouch of gel that gives you a little boost if you are struggling.
Jenna has been awesome. Even though I don't have school, I am still busy with training and stuff, so I am lucky she has been pretty patient with me. She's even started doing some running herself!
I downloaded this band called "Cage the Elephant" on iTunes to run to, and its awesome. If you like weirdo, alternative indie bands, check them out. Also, no running collection is complete without Journey "Don't Stop Believin", lets be honest, it's most likely the greatest song ever written. Yes, greater than anything Neil Diamond has done. I know that's bold, but its true. You want to know why? When I am running, and I hit that proverbial "Wall", these are the lyrics that I hear "Don't stop believing, Hold on to that feeling" Oh the movie never ends, its goes on and on and on and on....
